You inspire so many people with your art and your determination to be all you can be. You are an excellent role model for many young people with and without disabilities. I remember well the first Shreveport Art Break and how amazed I was at how all the people were so excited to try their hand at painting while blindfolded. you were the inspiration for the Garland
Special Arts Festival. Who would have thought it would be the start of something so wonderful.
Thank you so much; that means so muh more coming from you knowing the incredible work that you do not only at ACT or with the Arts Festival that you built up from nothing and now run, but also the loving way that you treat your family and friends. You’re an inspiration!
Doesn’t oil paint take a long time to dry? Also, when you get paint on your hands do you wipe them on your arms if you aren’t going out later in the day? How much of your stuff would you estimate have paint finger prints on them? I’m at about 30% myself.
Oil does take a long to dry, but that gives you more time to work the paint – there are additives that you can add to the paint to speed up the drying process though. I always keeps paper towels and rags handy to wipe my hands on; some of the paints I use are poisonous and it is best to get them off of your skin as quickly as possible. I try to be careful about touching my paintings in wet areas, so there shouldn’t be too many fingerprints on my painting, but I imagine a few have slipped by.
This is so inspiring. I love your video post, really nice
Thank you very much!
