Irving presented me with a proclamation that officially declared October
D isability Awareness Month for the city. The event was held at city hall
during a reception that the Irving mayor’s committee threw in honor of the
governor’s disability poster that features my artwork. I was honored to be
there but I feel the true credit should go to Cindy Counts of the Governor’s
office and to Irving’s disability committee that has done an amazing job.
There are amazing people out there that are truly making a difference with
disability issues and I was touched that I was asked to be there on this
important night.
